I finished my secret santa gift for Random Talking Bush finally...I sent it to him over a week ago, so hopefully he had enough time to play it for himself.

It's a scrolling spaceship shooter...yep. It's a short game if you're actually good at it. Enjoy.

Default controls:
Move - Arrows
Shoot - Space bar
Pause - Enter
Back - Backspace

It has joystick support and customizable keys.

I played a bit of it.

On the second stage you can get pushed inside the walls if you don't move quickly enough.

The bosses are neat but you should give them a visible health bar (unless I'm just blind). Also you should make the invincibility time match/extend past the blink effect time. I got hit a bunch of times when I thought I was still invincible.

I never considered giving the bosses a health bar, that shouldn't be hard to do though. And I thought the invincibility timer was a little off, but the effect should match the timer.

I'm glad you actually got to the second level. I gave this to one of my real life friends and he said he couldn't beat the first level...I didn't think I made it that hard.

The walls are a hard bug to eliminate, but I managed to make it easier to wiggle your way out of them.

Are you deactivating the blocks when they're outside of the view?

Also I know what you mean, I gave some of my friends my Shooter in Space games and several of them thought that it went on forever.

Yeah, but not immediately when they reach the boarder of the view. I used tiles in some spots, so I'll replace them with actual objects in problematic areas. It shouldn't hurt performance too much.

That last boss was tough to beat. Collecting RTB reminded me of Donkey Kong Country.

I think nintendocaprisun was let's playing a Donkey Kong Country when I added them, so it wasn't intentional but at the same time probably was.

Update v0.96, look at first post for download.
-Added fancy Boss health bars
-You can wiggle your way out of glitched walls more easily and not be stuck forever
-Fixed a bug that would make the game freak out if you pause quit a level after touching a checkpoint
-Shoot for keyboard controls is now space. It's what I intended it to be but forgot I changed it temporarily.
